These pictures were all taken at China Beach (a navy installation with security provided by all services) in November 1968.
I was assigned to China Beach (TDY after returning to Đà Nàng from Đông Hà assignment). I extended my VN tour for 6 months after learning that I would be assigned to Minot, N.D. at the end of my usual 12 month duty. After I took a 1 month leave in the U.S., I was reassigned to Đông Hà for the rest of my extended tour.  My primary base was 366th Security,
Đà Nàng. All assignments were from this base. SSgt Mel
