A check of the casualty data base for “Khanh Hoa” Province (Cam Ranh Bay AB), the only USN
casualty by Hostile Action within two weeks is “Roger Lee Porter”, who died of wounds
(“ARTILLERY/ROCKET/MORTAR”) on June 20, 1970. No one else died in that
Province in the USN at that time.
