My last duty station in RVN was at Da Nanag, 1972. Then 2LT Ainslie was OIC of security. It doesn't surprise me that he was awarded the Bronze Star w/V. Lt Ainslie took his job seriously and thought highly of his troops. He would routinely ride along on perimeter checks with our QC counterparts and keep the sentrys awake and alert. He organized a couple of burger bashes and a luau, pig and all! He was originally an enlisted man -- probably what made him a better officer! That's about all I remember of the gentleman.
