633d Patch and Flash!
The SF flash is based on the lineage of Operation Safeside.
And the 633d AB Wing patch, I found in a box of loose AF patches
in a local military surplus shop. It's a contemparary patch
based on the old 633d design. The crossbow is distinct to
Pleiku, highlands, Montagnyards.
1) Q.C., South Vietnamese Military Police, patrol downtown
Pleiku.
2) Pleiku, 633rd SPS Barracks.
3) Old French Bunker, SAT members, SGT Davis (E-4) driver
on left.
4) A Flt., 0400-1200 shift, and end of another long night.
5) Perimeter New Tower #24.
6) Pat/Hawk 5, himself, Shorttimer in Jan 1969.
Hawk was the call signs for SATs, and Hawk 5 (me)
was the utility patrol.
7) Peacock Hill (same-same Tropo Hill) Entry Point.
8) Perimeter, Arming Trip Flares on concertina wire.
