(76) Don Poss directs the order of Memorial procession to Sgt Bruce Dale Jones' nearby Gravesite. First,
Jim Willis, VSPA LM 78, Director of Veteran's Affairs for the State of Oregon, has the honor to carry the floral wreath for Ed Daubert (with cane), VSPA LM 507, 377th SPS, Tan Son Nhut. Ed served with Sgt Jones. |
(77) Don Poss continues bossing everyone around. Jim Willis and Ed Daubert are in place. Next, the thirteen VSPA members present who served at Tan Son Nhut AB are called forward, to follow Ed Daubert. A Patriot guard who served at TSN joins them. |
(78) Don Poss then calls Aunt Angela McGee to the head of the line, personally escorted by Ed Daubert, with all VSPA members trailing TSN members, followed by all veterans and local community. Many local folk hold back as if showing respect for 'family'... but this day there is only family sharing this Welcome Home. |
(79) The Memorial procession begins, and the line extends back to the bus and fence line. |
(80) The Memorial procession advances Air Force style like at F-4 in a flight landing pattern: flying downwind (parallel to the runway), turning base-leg (to align with runway), then turn short-final (descending to touchdown) around the tombstone for wreath placement. |

(85) Quiet moments follow. |
(86) Aunt Angela McGee and Ed Daubert pause by the floral wreath, touching the flowers. |
(87) Aunt Angela McGee and Ed Daubert stand silently... each remembering decades past. |
(88) Tan Son Nhut AB members close in... some hands pat or touch the tombstone gently. |
(89) Final salutes are offered.... |
(90) Silence... No words are necessary. |
(91) Jim Willis renders hand salute. The sound of a warm breeze sweeps through treetops. |
