Received news tonight that SSgt Todd James "T.J" Lobraico, of the New York Air National Guard and a Security Forces NCO was KIA in Afghanistan on Thursday, 5 Sep 13. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the Lobraico family as well as the SF Community on this sad news. He was just 22 years old. His Father (Todd) was also a Security Forces Veteran and is an Police Officer with the Stamford Police Department, CT.

Early reports: A 22-year-old New Fairfield man was killed in the line of duty while serving with New York's Air National Guard in Afghanistan. Todd James “T.J.” Lobraico died this week. His family was notified this morning, town officials said. According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Lobraico died from wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with small arms fire near Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan.
WEST NYACK - A United States airman based in the Hudson Valley has been killed in action while in Afghanistan. Officials say Staff Sergeant Todd James Lobraico, 22, was killed Thursday while serving with the New York Air National Guard. Lobraico, from New Fairfield, Connecticut, called Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh his home.
