Hi, Pete.
My wife and I went to Houston to visit her Dad the week before last. While there, we went to the Houston National Cemetery on Dec 17th... I also visited the grave of VSPA Life Member Kent Miller (LTC),
your beloved friend and commander of the 3rd SPS at Biên Hòa during Tet of 1968. He was a great friend and a wonderful human being. I enjoyed visiting with him on my trips to Houston over the years. Visiting Kent's grave was an honor that was
both very personal and cathartic, as well as like going to The Wall to honor
someone I lost long long ago. It gave me time to reflect about the VSPA, the
men we have come to know as brothers and all that it continues to mean to me.
The blessing is that I will be able to visit him again with each visit to the
cemetery for Lise and her Dad. I took the photos of Kent Miller's headstone so that we would have them for the VSPA archive as well as for you and me. I know how much Kent meant to you and the troops who were with you.
My best to you for a much better New year.
