HISTORY

A
bit of history. The 621st TCS lives on at Osan AB Korea as the 621st ACS.
Its patch is a cobra wrapped around a radar antenna. I was commander of
DET-1, 621st TCS a Yongmun San (Dragon Mountain) Korea from 1975-1976.
DET-1 was the closest radar site to the DMZ on top of a 5000 ft mountain.
At some point in time the Air Force changed from TCS to ACS.
