OPERATIONS.
On October 15, 1966, the 637th Air Police Squadron was assigned to the 637th Combat Support Group at Tuy Hoa Air Base in South Vietnam. Redesignated the 637th Security Pollice Squadron on 15 May 1967. The unit was discontinued and inactivated on 15 July 1967. It remains inactive.
The 637th Security Police Squadron was awarded the Air Force Outstanding Unit Aware with combat "V" device for the period 17 Dec 1966 to [15 Jul 1967] by Department of the Air Force Special Order GB-92 dated 18 Feb 1969.
