The Early Days # 2

 

 

The next major step was often to build a more permanent kennels. Usually it was designed with metal roofs over concrete slabs for protection from the monsoon rains and improved sanitation. Adequate ventilation for the tropical heat was mandatory. Electric fans and open designs assisted in that. The kennels were completed in early 1967.

Photos Below: Moving Day, Half of the kennels were completed. So half of the dogs were able to move in. Note the dogs were muzzled to reduce the danger to other teams.
