CRITICAL INFORMATION!!! PLEASE READ!!!
Our hotel has been inspected by our VSPA President Larry Fleming. He has inspected our hotels in the past and knows exactly what we need. His inspection was highly detailed, including contract space verifications. His report was OUTSTANDING! Our economy has been very difficult for all of us. We are doing our best to control costs.
We have spoken with many of our members regarding fatigue and the length of time for our tours. Members who attended previous reunions expressed concern regarding early start times, as well as fatigue and the extended activities during the day. More of our members have difficulty walking; however, some walking will be required for the OPTIONAL EVENTS. Therefore, it is absolutely critical that we have your registration early if you want to attend the dinner cruise and/or the Grand Ole Opry due to group pricing, group seating, and handicapped seating. Additionally, we must have specific information regarding wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers that you will have with you. Please indicate on the Registration Form which device(s) you will have. OPTIONAL EVENTS require that you submit your registration by AUGUST 15!
Our planning for events will reduce walking time significantly. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for a reunion with less physical demands and more time to visit in the Hospitality Room since we will not be visiting a local Air Force Base.
If you have a question or need additional information about this reunion, please contact VSPA President Larry Fleming LDFleming569@gmail.com or call him on his cell phone at (254) 396-4091. We hope to see you in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE for our 31st Reunion. This will be our first reunion where we will not be going to an Air Force Base or visiting with a Security Forces Squadron. Our members made this choice so that we could spend more time together. Let’s make it a successful reunion.

Nashville Reunion Update
Trying to find out how many are driving to Nashville. The Opry is very close to our hotel and trying to save renting a bus to get to and from the Opry. A bus will cost an additional $30 per ticket. I would like to see if we can get folks to and from without added money for the bus. Trying to find out how many are driving to Nashville. Thank you for your attention. The upcoming reunion is scheduled for October 7–11, with room availability extending two days before and after these dates. Room rates will be approximately $230 per night, inclusive of tax. Complimentary parking is provided; however, there is no airport shuttle service. The hotel is conveniently located less than half a mile from The Grand Ole Opry and adjacent to a large mall offering numerous dining and shopping options. Please note that breakfast is not included, but guests may order from the menu. Additionally, a Cracker Barrel restaurant is situated across the street from the hotel.
We are currently in the process of finalizing banquet menus and securing a block of seats for the Opry; further details will be communicated as arrangements are confirmed. At a later date, we will request an accurate count of interested attendees. An optional evening dinner and show on a riverboat, tentatively planned for Thursday, is also under consideration and will be offered at a determined price. Additional information about this event will be provided in the future.
Please consider this as preliminary information—further updates will follow. Steve Gattis is preparing a comprehensive information flyer which will be distributed soon. We look forward to seeing everyone in October.
Sincerely,
Larry Fleming, President
