Nakhon Phanom – 56th 
SPS Heroes Visited at 
"The Wall"
 

Jim Stastny (Korat 70-71), Phil Carroll (NKP/Takhli 70-71), and Bill Cummings (U-Tapao 70-71) visited the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial on June 24, 2006. The purpose of the visit was to obtain etchings of the names of three K-9 personnel who were killed in a helicopter crash in support of the S.S. Mayaguez rescue operation on May 13, 1975.

The names of the three Air Force K-9 Personnel, assigned to the 56th Security Police Squadron Nakhon Phanom, Thailand are memorialized on Panel 1 West, and they are:

Sgt. Gerald W. Fritz

Sgt. Dennis W. London

SSgt. Iloa Faleagafulu (Phil)
